Heart Cath Is Complete!

The heart cath is over and Greg is in recovery.  He will have to remain flat on his back for another 2.5 hours.  Everything went well with no complications!  No blockages were found.  They did find a vessel that is larger than normal that is “feeding” the heart tumor.  This is good information for the doctor to have before he begins the procedure tomorrow.

We have a meeting with anesthesiology at 2:15 today to prepare for tomorrow’s surgery.  After that, we should be free for the rest of the day.  The kids and Greg’s parents should be getting to the airport around 3pm today…we are looking forward to seeing them.

Still don’t have a definite surgery time for tomorrow.  I’ll update again when we know.  Thanks again for your prayers and words of encouragement!  We love you guys!

Trusting His Plan,

Sandra

Sandra, I did not realize that Greg was sick. I’m praying for his surgery tomorrow and that God heals him completely. I’m also praying for your peace of mind during surgery and God’s grace. Love to you all.

Praying… May Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie, and Jacob continue to trust in You, regardless of Greg’s physical condition… regardless of their surroundings. May they be strengthened in their faith, being fully persuaded that You have the power to do what You have promised.

Awake and praying since 6 am our time — you know that’s a God thing! Amongst others, God keeps giving me this verse, which I sent on the scripture card, so I just want to share it here: Romans 8: 37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So comforting to know that Greg is in God’s hands and nothing exists that can separate him from God’s love. God has got this one and will work through it. Praying peace for all of you there. God is for us!
