Still Not Feeling Well

Greg had a really rough night last night.  Had a headache most of the night and kept waking up with night sweats.  Got up this morning feeling awful!  Extremely weak and lethargic. Also having some shortness of breath.  Good news is that the redness and swelling along the post-IV line is much improved!  He ate a little breakfast and we decided to go ahead and call the clinic.  Got here about 2pm.  Hemoglobin has risen slightly…now 7.9.  Chest X-ray shows a pleural effusion, which is basically fluid around the lung.  Apparently he had this upon discharge from the hospital, but it has gotten a little worse which probably explains the shortness of breath.  They say this is very common and nothing to worry about unless it continues to get worse instead of improving.  As of now, we are waiting for him to have a blood transfusion.  It is scheduled for 7pm and they tell us to plan on being here for about 4 hours.

Please pray for no adverse effects from the transfusion, and that Greg  will feel much better by in the morning.  Also pray that the pleural effusion will improve.  We still don’t know when we will be flying home.  Would love to leave tomorrow, but we’ll just have to wait and see how tonight goes and how he feels in the morning.

Trusting His Plan,

Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob

Praying for you and wishing we could be with you! If you can access YouTube check out Francesca Battestelli (sp?) videos where she is signing her her song “You’re Here”. It reminds me that Jesus did come and he is Immanuel! May you know His presence in a powerful way right now!!!
