Biochemo Day 3

Last night was an okay night.  Greg slept pretty well.  Only woke up with night sweats one or two times.  He had no fever throughout the night.  This morning he got up and took a shower.  During the shower he started feeling really nauseated.  Finished his shower and got back in bed….he was extremely fatigued.  He went back to sleep and ended up sleeping until about 3pm!  Once he woke up, he still felt really weak and tired, but the nausea was much less.  He ate some cereal and drank a little gatorade, then he slept some more.  Later we walked around the hospital some and sat outside for about 15 minutes or so.  He ate very little for dinner……still has no appetite.  His chemo was started around 6:30pm and his last drug is finishing up now.

Tomorrow morning Greg is scheduled for another specialized stress echocardiogram so that they can hopefully get a better view of the blood flow of the heart.  Please pray that the results come back favorable.

It’s been a long day of sitting, so I think I’m turning in for the night!  Thank you all for praying for us and for your many acts of kindness and concern for us and our children!!  We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and family!

Trusting His Plan,

Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob

Thank you for your faithful updates. I know it saves Mom & Dad lots of time on the phone having to repeat everything, and I am always anxious to receive each one. Thank you also for your faithful attention to Greg. I couldn’t ask for a better sister-in-law!

I was just thinking this last night — Sandra, you are an amazing blessing to your family. You are a true Proverbs 31 woman and I am proud to call you friend. Praying for you to get the rest you need to keep supporting Greg and praying for a good echocardiagram today for Greg.

Well you aren’t my sister in law but you are my sister in Christ and I agree with the above posts. But in addition your faith and attitude are glorifying Christ. Who knows how many people, watching you and Greg faithfully walk through this dark valley, will be drawn to the Master in some way. Lifting you up to the Throne room this morning.

Sandra, What can we do to help? Please let me know. Can the kids use a meal? Jacob need a friend to hang out with? Anything, please let me know how I can help you. I know prayer isn’t “nothing” it is “everything” but would still like to do do more.

    Greg & Sandra,
Every morning meeting our family individually lifts you and yours up to the one who holds the key. My heart is broken to think you have had to walk down this path. We truly love you guys and earnestly seek His grace, mercy and healing for you. Jake is always welcome here and if transportation is needed for Katie would be willing to allow her the use of our van until her car is repaired.
