So Long, Day 4

The test this morning was a long one!  Greg finally got back to the room after 4pm!  He rested for a while, then we went and sat outside for about 20 minutes.  Once we got back in, it was time for his chemo to get started.  He was feeling pretty nauseated, so they gave him some medication which made him really sleepy.  He has slept most of the evening and night.  It is now 9:30 and the last bag of chemo is running  and he is finally eating something for the first time today.

We should find out the results of the heart test in the morning and we are planning for the bio portion of the treatment to start tomorrow at some point.  Please pray that Greg doesn’t get sick from eating tonight and that he sleeps well.  I think his body is going to need this extra sleep to prepare for this next phase of treatment.

Emilie and Jake are doing well and we appreciate all of you that have been looking out for them!  Katie heads to Rome, Ga. tomorrow to start the training program for being a camp counselor at Winshape this summer.  Please pray for safety for her as she travels tomorrow and is away this summer.

We love and appreciate each of you!

Trusting His Plan,

Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob

Praying for you and asking the Lord to make Greg as comfortable as possible during treatments and for His continuing peace. Thank you, Sandra, for your faithfulness to keep us updated.

I have been following the blog and thinking about Greg, and your entire family, and praying. I especially was thinking about him on his birthday and I usually send him an email wishing him a good day. I didn’t think to post something here until today. I read the blog for that day and was so happy to see his smiling face and the sweet expressions of well wishes from so many. He is loved and cared for. Please tell Greg hello from Janigo.
