It’s Been A Great Week, But Now It’s Time To Go Back :-(

We are so thankful for the extra week that we’ve had at home! We’ve had lots of fun and good family time. Early in the week, Jacob and I went to a blueberry farm down the street and picked almost 7 pounds of blueberries! They are delicious!

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July with my Mom and Dad and my brother and his family! Great meal, wonderful fellowship and fun fireworks!

It’s been fun, but now it’s time to head back to Houston. We leave in the morning. Greg will have scans/tests all day on Monday beginning at 9am. His last scan is at 10pm…it will be a long day! On Tuesday, we will meet with the doctor to review the scans and make the final decision regarding another round of treatment. We are expecting that the recommendation will be for Greg to be admitted for round 3. Greg has felt pretty good this week except for some major back pain that began last Saturday. We are really praying that it the pain is not from the cancer, but rather just a pulled muscle or something else.

These are our current prayer requests:
1. That our family would handle our present circumstances in a way that pleases the Lord and points others to Him
2. That the scans reveal good news….decrease in tumor number and size and no new growth
3. That Greg would tolerate the scans well…sometimes all of the contrast that goes into his body with so many scans makes him feel sick
4. That the doctors (and us) will have wisdom regarding further treatment
5. That Greg’s back would begin to feel better, especially for the flight
6. That the kids will stay safe and healthy while we are gone

Thank you all for your prayers and all the other ways that you have shown love and concern for our family! We will keep you posted about what’s going on this week.

In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul. Ps. 94:19

Trusting His Plan,
Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob
