Well…..We Made It!

After a stressful morning, we finally made it to Houston! We got to the airport this morning to standby for the 10:30 flight, but it was a full flight and we didn’t get on. Greg checked with the gate agents who said that the rest of the flights for the day to Hobby didn’t look good. He had them check the next flight out to Bush, but they told him it was full as well. We decided to wait and try for the next flight to Hobby and if we didn’t make that flight, we were going to have to consider driving. That flight was scheduled to leave around 1:30. So, since we had a couple of hours to kill we went to have a cup of coffee. While there, Greg decided to check the next flight that was going to Bush (the one the agents told us was full). It was showing quite a few seats available! It was now noon and this flight was scheduled to depart at noon! We checked the monitors and it said the departure time was now 12:10. We decided to take a chance and see if we could possibly make this flight. The problem was that we were in concourse B and this flight left out of concourse A. So, we rushed through the airport and when we got to the gate, the plane was boarded and the door to the jetway was closed. We asked if there was any way we could get on this flight and the agent said Yes! We quickly boarded and found out that the flight had been delayed while waiting for it to be catered; although I think it was really delayed because the Lord held it for us! We are so thankful for the Lord’s goodness in providing for us!

So, we were headed to Bush, but our bag was headed to Hobby! They had put it on that first flight that we were listed on but didn’t make. Once we landed, we had to take a cab to Hobby to retrieve our bag, then another cab to the hotel. But…we made it and we are thankful! We enjoyed an early dinner, then took a nap! Getting ready for bed now and preparing for a LONG day tomorrow. Please pray that Greg tolerates the scans/tests well, and that the results are favorable.

Trusting His Plan,
Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob
