Feeling Better….Not Great, But Better!

Thank you all so much for your prayers for Greg over the last couple of days. Today has been a better day. He hasn’t had any vomiting since yesterday morning; although, he still feels nauseous much of the time. His appetite has been a little better today, as well. Greg is still quite weak and tires easily; however, he still went in to work today. He has been able to tolerate the magnesium supplements yesterday and today, so we hope to see that his level has gone up when he has his bloodwork done tomorrow.

Tonight one of our sweet neighbors blessed us by coming to the house to mow the yard for us. While he was out cutting the grass, a beautiful bird of some sort, (parrot or parakeet?) landed on his back! The bird was very friendly and obviously not scared of people at all. He must be someone’s pet that had gotten loose. The bird sat on Ike’s shoulder for a long time. We gave Ike a glass of lemonade to drink and once the bird saw the drink, he quickly climbed down Ike’s shoulder and sat on his finger and drank the lemonade right out of the cup! It was so funny! Ike decided to take the bird back to his house. He will try to locate the owner and if he can’t find them, he will keep the bird. Thank you, Ike, for being a blessing to us…..hey you got a bird out of the deal, right?!?!

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matt. 6:25-34

Trusting His Plan,

Maybe it was an angel disguised as a parakeet! Hope it made Greg feel a little better!

Now isn’t that bird like God, to send a little perk? So awesome! I’m continuing to pray for Greg to feel better and for healing.

Praying for you all. It gets so tiring day after day I’m sure. So thankful for a Savior whose mercies are new every morning! I am reminded each morning that God is in the Heavens and will do what He said He will do. Even when it is a struggle, I know He will be my strength! His love never changes Terilynne

Sandra, in addition to the bird’s feathers needing cropping – I think the pictures could’ve used some cropping also. Hope your camera recovered. Lemonade’s doing good.

Sandra and Greg. What an amazing visit from the bird. The scriptures you quoted are so perfect because I believe God is telling us all that message. Wayne and I continue to pray for you all. God has His arms around you and is carrying you.
