We made it to Houston last night, after the usual stress of would we or would we not make the flight! Once the plane had boarded, there was ONE seat still open. Greg and I were numbers one and two on the standby list. So, we began discussing our plans for getting us both there. Greg would take this seat and I would stay behind to stand by for the next (and last) flight of the day which was 4 hours later. But God (don’t you love those two words!) once again intervened on our behalf and one person with a confirmed seat did not show. So….I now had a seat! And once again….we got the last two seats on the plane! We are so thankful to the Lord for His provision and goodness! We were scheduled to land at Houston/Hobby, but as we approached the airport, there was a storm. So, we circled a few times, but were running low on fuel. So, we were diverted to Bush. Once there, we remained on the ground for about an hour while they refueled and waited for the storm to dissipate at Hobby. Then we were on our way to Hobby. So, we ended up getting in later than we had expected, but were just thankful to be there…together!
Now, the waiting and anxiety begins! In the cancer world, it’s known as “scanxiety”. Waiting for the results of scans. Even though we have complete trust in God’s plan, it’s hard not to be a little apprehensive. Greg is back now having a PET scan and CT scan done. He’s already had bloodwork done, and later today he will have an MRI, and an injection that helps with bone repair. Tomorrow afternoon, we will meet with the doctor to go over the test results and to hear his recommendation regarding the next step in treatment.
If the Lord should bring us to your mind, please pray for the following:
1. That our family would handle our current circumstances in a way that pleases the Lord and points others to Him.
2. That the test results will be favorable and show shrinkage in the existing tumors and NO new tumors. Better yet, pray that the scans would show NO evidence of any cancer anywhere in Greg’s body.
3. That the doctor, along with Greg and I, would have wisdom and clarity as we decide about the next steps in treatment.
4. That our children would remain healthy and safe while we are away.
That you all for your prayers, provision and encouragement for our family! We are blessed to have so many friends and family members crying out to God on our behalf!
Trusting His Plan,
Greg, Sandra, Katie, Emilie and Jacob

Here we go again with you to deflect those fiery darts! Stopped and prayed for each of these things! Good results are coming, that God would be glorified! And by the way, you are never an afterthought, but in all of our earnest prayers!

Sandra, Please call my cell number. If the time works out for you, maybe after 5:00 ATL time, but I’ll try to talk with you no matter when you call. You can ask Greg because I think he may know why I need to talk with you. 404-803-0959. Jan Williams

Today the children and I prayed for you. In the same way we did the day Jacob was with us. 🙂 Today, we prayed that you would have many holy spirit filled intercessors that would pray for healing for Greg. We love you!
