A Very Special Mother’s Day Gift

I mentioned in my last post how seventeen years ago I received an amazing Mother’s Day gift…the gift of my son, Jacob. Well, this year I received another amazing gift, and one that I will always cherish. A group of four people were asked to speak about their Moms this past Sunday at our church. Unbeknownst to me, Emilie was one of the four. I knew nothing about it until Sunday morning…and to say I was surprised is a huge understatement! Anyone who knows Emilie, knows that she does NOT like speaking in front of people, nor does she like being the center of attention! (I have no idea where she gets this from 😉 )

I know how difficult this was for her and the fact that she would get out of her comfort zone to do something like this was a true gift to me. She did an excellent job! She spoke eloquently and confidently and did not appear to be the least bit nervous. The words she spoke were humbling, to say the least. Emilie is a blessing to me and her words were honey to this Mama’s heart!
